Wingstop Launches the World’s First Heart-to-Win Auction on Periscope in Celebration of National Chicken Wing Day

An opportunity for Wingstop fans to win nearly $5,000 in exclusive prizes is happening this Friday

DALLAS, July 27, 2016 — Wingstop, Inc. (NASDAQ:WING), the award-winning wing concept with more than 900 locations worldwide, is celebrating National Chicken Wing Day by giving away free wings at all of its participating U.S. restaurants and thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes on Periscope. On Friday, July 29, Wingstop fans will have the opportunity to participate in a first-of-its-kind social auction series on Periscope “THUMP by Wingstop.” Users bid on prizes by tapping the Periscope heart button. The fan who “THUMPS” the most hearts at the end of each auction will win the designated prize. Plus, all Wingstop fans can also celebrate National Chicken Wing Day at any U.S. Wingstop restaurant where they will receive five free wings with any wing purchase between the hours of 11am and 2pm, local time.

Prizes for the “THUMP by Wingstop” live auctions on Periscope range from a Beach Cruiser Bike and custom Nike shoes, all the way to a “Choose Your Own VIP Experience” worth up to $1,500 where the winner will receive two $250 concert vouchers and a $1,000 travel voucher to be used towards experiencing any concert they want, in any city they choose.

Fans can also visit any U.S. Wingstop and receive five free wings with any wing purchase from 11am to 2pm, local time, this Friday. The “THUMP by Wingstop” live auctions on Periscope take flight this Friday, July 29 at 9am CT/10am ET and will continue throughout the day until 9pm CT/10pm ET. Exclusive prizes and merchandise, event tickets, gift cards, apparel, mystery bags and more will be up for grabs. To participate, fans must download the Periscope app and follow @Wingstop. No money will be exchanged or is needed to play.
